The thermopolymer EPDM (ethylene propylene diene), which can be cooked with sulfur, was produced in 1963.
Since it is unsaturated in EPDM, the polymer chain is completely saturated. This gives the polymer very good resistance to degradation by oxygen, ozone and chemicals, and therefore products made from EPDM are very durable.

When the ethylene content reaches values ​​between 70-80%, long ethylene chains are formed in the polymer and crystallization increases. This ensures high mechanical properties without chemical bonding.
